Melissa joined the CIIG team in August 2024 as a Benefits Accounts Specialist, bringing over 38 years of customer service experience in the medical and insurance fields. A native of Rock Hill, SC, she previously served in the Business Services Department at Piedmont Medical Center, where she supported patients and providers with a broad range of billing and insurance functions. In her prior role, Melissa managed complex billing issues, including underpayments, overpayments, and discrepancies of claims. She was responsible for processing payments from both patients and insurance carriers, verifying insurance eligibility and authorizations, and ensuring compliance with managed care contracts. The expertise she brings continues to support clients at CIIG with precision and professionalism

Keeping the client the focus of everything she does, Melissa believes in treating all customers the way she would want herself and her family to be treated. Outside of work, she is an active member of Oakdale Baptist Church and enjoys spending time with family, especially her four grandchildren.
